Invalid Mech Selection???

Last night, when clicking "Launch" to start into a match that was about to begin, I got a big red message:

"Invalid Mech Selection. Failed to Load Primary Weapon." and left me on the mech selection screen when I clicked to acknowledge the message.

I was attempting to use my Grenadier with the Vulcan.

Eh, it's really inconsequential... as I was able to just select the RevGL and then the Vulcan again and then launched into the match successfully. But I'm bored and, since I've never seen that message before, I thought I'd post and see if anyone else has ever seen it as well.

Every time I try to launche the game I am quickly met with this error.

I have searched some fixes such as renaming the hawken folder in MyGames and reinstalling the UE3Redlist and DirectX.

I logged on hawken today and all my friends are gone and my friends list said undefined . Now as of late I have added alot of friends. Hawken did not specify how manny friends you could have. so I probley had like 100 or more . Why did I do this. Simply when I wanted a game I could jump into a friends or create a team Quickly because when I had a small friends list I could never get any one in a group. So my question is How many friends are you limmed to. Second if somone could reset my friends list that would be great. I 'll keep it down to what ever specified number hawaken developers say. But not being able to invite people into games or be invited is not fun. Please fix asap thank you .

Also, I got two activation mails, so I got no idea whats up with that.

Hello,

Since few months, Hawken started to be annoying. When I play on East US or Europe (doesn't matter), when I spawn or go back to the prepare screen after death, game loads very long which is very pushing off from the game.
My specs:
Internet 60 Mbit / s
Intel Core i7
GeForce GT755M
16Gb Ram
Hawken downloaded via Steam.

Game graphic options:
All on full, same as GeForce Experience recommends.

Additional info:
The game itself runs very smooth, I do not experience any game lags or internet lags. It is only spawn/death issue.

Anyone has got the same problem?

Steam Overlay not working!

So steam overlay does not seem to work when i'm in-game. Game itself runs fine.
I tried reinstalling steam to no avail. I just want to purchase some MC to get one mech, but because the overlay itself doesn't work, when i press buy MC in-game, the purchase page pops up but the mouse/keyboard will not transition to the overlay, it remains in the game, in the background.
Anyone has any suggestions? All i want is to buy some MC, since i can't buy it on their website. The community page has a link, but it takes me back to the main website index page and that's the end of that.

Audio Dies If I Unplug My Headphones

So... yeah. There ya go.

The game runs perfectly, not a single complaint. But if I were to, say, switch my headphones, the sound dies. I tried turning the volume up, muting/unmuting, checking my audio settings, and all that jazz, but I can't see what's causing it. The only thing I can do is exit the game and restart. Any thoughts?

I get this message very frequently: gpu driver has stopped responding and has recovered. This causes me to have to go into task manager then close it again to continue playing. This takes several seconds and about 85% of the time i'm back at the garage because someone(of course I would too) has blown my defenseless ass away. Anyone get this and have any suggestions. When I ask people in game they think i'm making an excuse for dying and blow me off. This is extra frustrating because my computer is very up to date i7 4770, GTX660 16gb ram Windows 8.1/64, 750watt power supply. It doesn't happen every match, but sometimes it happens several times in a single match. Nothing in game is worse then having a good kill streak going then FREEZE your dead. I know the person who kills me is thinking he's all cool for skillfully ending my streak but really he's done squat but gun down a defenseless mech. Please help, I've only been playing for about week and really enjoy the game when its working properly for me, but this is quickly turning into a game breaker. Thank you

I need some help on how to send a support tickets.
I can't join matches, it shows that it's connecting but it doesn't go to the match, 2 minutes after this happens, the message," your connection to host has been lost" appears. Since I'm not really connecting to anything, I have no idea what this indicates. I had written a post on that earlier but I had done it in the wrong section.
Really need some help, I am addicted to hawken and this isn't good for me.

Guys as you read on the title i cant buy something with real money..!! I was tearing my hair out with this error because other PCs in my home ran Hawken fine and my PC used to but then stopped.

One thing that will cause the 51C58D8A error with accompanying text "Online Service Unavailable" is if there are environment variables defined on your system for "HTTP_Proxy" (and maybe "HTTPS_proxy").

There are a number of other, more likely, solutions to this error having to do with the proxy settings in Internet Options or ports on your router, but this was what worked for me.

And the worst part is that, I think it was self-inflicted. I think I created the environment variables.

Very recently I've gotten a huge increase in the amount of rubberbanding I receive while on US East servers. I live in NY, and my ping has usually been about 16, but within the past several days it's been a solid 35. I rubberband pretty consistently some games, whether I'm just walking from place to place, or worse, in an actual fight. I don't know if this is a common issue, but it's reminiscent of the days when I would play over a wifi connection.
Experiences/advice?

I have been playing this game for a while and ran into a problem after the steam migration that makes the game unplayable. Whenever I log into hawken, it constantly reads my mouse as pulling to the left. In the game or in the menus, the same thing happens. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game without success. I have tried using a different mouse, but was met with the same problem. I sent a support ticket in two months ago, and they still have not helped me, so I turn to the internet for the help that I so desperately desire.

I once changed servers, because the European servers where all empty and noone was playing, but then my ping skyrocked and the game crashed, and now I can't even connect to my game account anymore. It just doesn't connect and gives me an error after 5 minutes or so.

Any way to change my server back to European without having to connect to my in game account?

I've had the game for about 3 or 4 days now and had no problems until tonight, whenever I click play and try to use match making to join any game mode (even co-op) it's not letting me connect. The queue finds a match then counts down from 10 like always, then after 10 the button just says play and nothing happens. Won't let me join from server browser, either.

Was able to join just fine yesterday and the days before.

I've got a 120hz projector, and a tripple monitor setup (both 3D).
When I start hawken, I get proper fps - 120 for 120, 60 fps for 3D, etc.
I can get in about 1 match, and then the frame drops to a funkilling 30fps. It'll rise to 40 on the menus, but drops to pathetic frame rates in game.

My card is not running at top performace. It just sits around begging me to play all my other games which run fine.

System: GTX 590 1.5GB driver version: 337
Phenom 2 X6 1100T 3.8GHZ OC
12GB Ram
3GB @ 160MB/s Hard Drive
Windows 8.1

attempts: restart the game a lot - Works for the first match.
set nvidia to high performance - No change.
Reset OC on CPU - no change
Changed all setting to ultra. No change.
Changed all settings to low. No change.
Enabled / Disabled PhysX, No change.
Tried playing on a 26' screen with 7.1 audio. No internet!

Am I supposed to do some fancy settings in the hawken 3D performance profile?
Is SLI not working?

This may be of some limited help to a subset of people experiencing difficulty connecting to games, or being disconnected during map transitions. The router itself may be the problem.

My problems in this category were fixed by using a Linksys router connected to the Zyxel router (the latter in transparent bridge mode). Simple as that!

Hello all. I have this problem for some time (almost 2moths).

I had 2 tickets with MC points from some friends and another one when i bought my video card. They had 3600MC and free Technician. So redeeming all on same account i ended up with 3 Techs.

I ranked up this one mech until rank 6 but the game didnt unlocked any of the cosmetics Elite or the rank 6 Camo.

I did a ticket at the support site of Hawken but they didnt respond to it. I also emailed to ZamboniChaos and he did respond. He said will look into this because this is a bug. But that was 3 weeks ago.

I have some scren shots when i was rank 5 and rank 6 also. I cant upload them from my PC so i posted a link with Rank6 screenshot upload that i did now http://steamcommunit...s/?id=292954790 .

If someone who can help me with this needs the other screen shots i will email them to him.

just wasted* 5min of my life by trying to get what looks like a mechwarrior clone to work

- download the game
- start the game
- getting asked to create an account, and do so
- receive an authentication eamail and press the link - receive " your account has successfully bla bla notice"
- try to login and get told to authenticate your account to login.... awesome game, thumbs up

Game freezes for 4/6 second or less, but quite frequent also so annoying lag isn't problem at all , freeze is the main problem .no one can survive from here,so wired .i capture that wired thing in low quality because of Bazar has low fps issue but the freeze can be realize from this video i think .

How to make controllers properly work with this?

Like the title says how do you make a controller properly work with Hawken? I recently downloaded this at the suggestion of some friends and watched some videos and it looks really fun. The only problem I'm having though is that whenever I attempt to use my PS4 controller with the game it won't work, something I've noticed with a few games on Steam. So I downloaded a program that makes the computer see it as a 360 controller and everything works... except Hawken. With Hawken it's usually one thing or another that does or doesn't work. Sometimes the buttons work, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the analog sticks work or sometimes one works and the other doesn't. I know it's not just my controller either as I've used a friends wired 360 controller to see if maybe that would alleviate the problem and it still does the same thing.

Is there something specific I need to do in order to get the controller to function properly with Hawken or can I just not play? I can't use the keyboard and mouse setup because I have weak wrists and can't exactly play FPS' or any game that required quick mouse movement.

OS Freezing spontaneously - forces hard reboot

I experience spontaneous freezing with Hawken that I can't even force close, I have to hard reboot my PC. It used to happen 15-20% of the time when a match ended, but I have since upgraded my Nvidia driver to the latest version (337.88) and now it doesn't happen at the end of some matches, but only sometimes when I check the scoreboard in the middle of the match with Tab. I've noticed it happens more often when I'm healing as I like to check the score while doing so, not sure if that's relevant. Unfortunately this seems to be an isolated incident as I can't find anyone else having similar problems. Specs below - any help would be appreciated.

About 3 weeks ago I got a new headset just to have a working mic again. When I first used it, people told me they could hear me. Then I was away for a week on vacation. Now that I'm back, it appears that no one can hear me. I've tested the mic and it is working just fine outside of Hawken. In the game, I have push-to-talk set. In the audio settings, I try 'Test' but I never hear anything.

Does voice chat work? Or is it something in my Hawken installation? Any pointers on how I can debug this?

Hi guys! I wanted to put forward a small, but crucial bug that keeps on bugging me. I don't know whether anybody has had this issue before, but here goes. I personally like to read the rules of the mode I'm playing in as the game finds players. So I switched on the show hints thing in the settings section for each mode But after I shut the game and come back, my settings have been reset! Can you guys solve this? I have to switch them on each time I log in. (PS : Its been quite some time since I've exited from HAWKEN in a normal way. The game crashes all the time before I can exit. (PPS : Can you guys add a very low graphics setting? There is high, medium and low. But no very low or very high. I can't dish out money for a new card you see.)) Thanks!

Taking Too Long To Sync Account

It takes too long to log in, it sleeps at "Syncing Account". After it gets synced any server-match that i find it takes too long to sync into the match. After the match is finished it takes too long to sync into another map.

Stuck on "Synching"

Howdy all,
I am having trouble getting stuck both after logging in when it says "Synching account" and after I leave a server where it says the same. During log in, it says that I am connected to chat, and I can see my friends leave when it pops up the little message - but it never gets me to the main screen. Same will happen if I leave a server.

I've left it open for more than an hour and it just hangs there.

Any ideas? Should I reinstall? Is it a server-side issue?

I have experience some stuttering in Hawken. It does not happen all the time, just in certain maps, it goes tac tac tac movement is not fluid. The funny thing is that this doesnt happen all the time, sometime its fluid.

Does some one knows what to do? Is it because the internet?

My machine should run it ok: gtx 770 3d vision... 16ram.

so today, I was playing some siege (I love that game mode) and all of the sudden it said Feature Not Available or something like that in red text with the button close underneath, I pressed close and it took me to the logon screen again. I lost my HC earned and it wouldn't let me log in. it kept saying "Feature Not Available". so I restarted hawken and logged in again. it let me in so i jumped in to a co-op tdm real quick. after about 5 minutes it cut me off again. anyone else having this problem? is it server or client based? HELP MEH HERE

Okay, so I got Hawken less than a week ago, and so far I love it, but my game runs at 40-50 fps at the start of the battle and drops to about 25 fps when in a fight, and when I move during fights, like flying and boosting and what not, it is very jagged movement, it does not feel smooth at all, and this causes most of my deaths in Hawken. I play scout 99% of the time and I'm guessing that the scout's mobility and my high mouse speed is what causes all the jagged movements, but I'm not entirely sure. I run the game on everything set to low, and my f.o.v is at the highest(I'm not sure if the f.o.v does anything to mess my fps up). I turned off everything in the video settings but left the full screen and boarder less window on. anyway, I'm wondering what my bottle neck might be, or if there is more than one, here are my specs:
Windows 8
Processor: AMD A10-5745M APU with radeon™ HD graphics 2.10 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB (7.20 GB usable)
64-bit operating system
radeon dual graphics
graphics has 5179 MB
I tried everything to increase fps, without going overboard and getting a Plasticine looking game, and that includes lowering the video settings and editing the .ini files in Hawkensystemsettings and hawkenengine.
If there's nothing left for me to do, then I might stop playing because of this low fps, oh and regarding the jagged movement, when I do the shift+s or the 180 turn, it occasionally freezes for a split second and speeds up to catch up to my movement. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hawken bombs out randomly

I suspect you guys have a memory leak in your game. i play many other games using allot ,ore RAM then Hawken yet if I play this Windows alt tabs me automatically saying there inst enough resources. this is frustrating because so many times just before the end of a match it bombs out.

I cannot even think of spending real $ on this with these issues.

For almost two weeks now, I keep alternating from "connected to chat" to "disconnected to chat". I'm not able to group with friends in game because of it. Every time I would select a friend to chat with, I disconnect from chat... though only if I'm quick enough to do it in the first place! I only stay connected to chat for one maybe two seconds. I do know its an issue with my computer though, I can log into my account on my roomates computer, which is on the same network. I've opened up all ports that are associated with Hawken as well. As far as I know, I've done everything I can, including several re-installs.

Nothing on the forums shows that there is a cure for this. Anyone got anything?

Hi there. My game has been crashing every ten minutes or so. I googled the problem once and found a windows "hotfix" for the runtime error, but it didn't seem to do anything. I'm relatively computer illiterate, so I was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose my problem.

I just looked through the forum for anything about reporting aimbotters, but I can't see any obvious titles on any topics, so here I am.

I was playing a Siege game on USE and I spotted someone who's aim was surprisingly sharp; thankfully I'd changed my killcam to first person the day before (thanks again to Ker4u's forum entry on that one!) and the guy's aim was *mental*, flicking from enemy mech to enemy mech in his field of view with zero tracking time.

Sadly I dc'd before the match was completed, and I couldn't get back into it when I reconnected, but I'd still like to report the botter.

I was wondering how I could go about this? Is there some way I could do it on the website, or is it an in-game thing?

Do cosmetic mech uppers carry over to other mechs?

I have already verified local game cache, fully logged out and relogged yet it still is not updated. Is there something else I should try or is this something server side?

Hey guys. So on my computer I have 3GB of RAM and I've heard some people say that that's enough for the game, but then others are saying they needed more than that to play. So I'm not sure whether to download this game or not because I'm afraid the amount of RAM will be insufficient. So is 3GB of RAM enough to play? I don't know if it happens to anyone else in the games i've been playing in. I'll ask what was just happening or explain what was going on, but for whatever reason, no one's ever actually responded when I type things like that in. I don't think it's a related issue, but for that reason I don't know if it's a local issue or a server issue. For the record, I've never had this happen anytime past the last two days. My hardware hasn't changed, my software hasn't changed, my internet provider hasn't changed.

What happens on my screen is at some point during about every game, I'll be able to move, everyone else in the game will be totally frozen (particles will still occur, boosting mechs will appear to be boosting but be in place) and I will not be able to shoot at all. When it ends I will either be dead or in a nearby location (there will be a jump) and sometimes one of my two weapons will not work for an undefined duration. (I've had my SAARE freeze up and my PPA still work on my incin several times, and.. well.. that doesn't work.) Occasionally for an undefined duration my shots won't register, but I can still get hit. In short, the game totally breaks for some length of time.

This has been happening more and more frequently and it's getting very difficult to play. Today was the first day I noticed any spike in ping, though I have checked every time before. Today when it occured my ping jumped to 212 over the course of two or three seconds before coming back down. This did not happen at the same time that the game froze for me.

I would really appreciate some sort of advice on fixing this, or some confirmation that this is an issue that everyone is experiencing, and the devs are working on.

"Out of memory!" when playing Front Line map

I have no idea why I get "Out of memory!" errors at all. I'm running 3.8GHz Quadcore and 8Gb RAM. I figured the issue was using XP, so I did a fix to expand the 3.5Gb memory limit. I now have full memory limits in place, and I seem to run the game fine, until I end up on the Front Line map.

For seemingly no reason whatsoever I get "Out of memory!" popups on this map and have to restart the game. It's hit a point where I have to wait for w/e battle I'm in to end before I rejoin the game on a different map.

Does anyone else have any issue with this map?

very, VERY long syncing account times

It started last week, at first it was around 30-40 seconds I figured it was just those "once in a whiles" but it gradually became worse as the week passed by turning into 5 minute wait times until it became completely static into syncing my account.

This doesn't exclude when I'm in between matches either. It happens every time my account gets synced.

It's less worse in between matches but long enough to make me go into battle an entire minute late.

What's the deal here? Is it the recent update? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I now have a 1/3 success rate actually getting into Hawken without a static "Syncing Account"

Launcher does nothing when running it

So the Hawken was working fine up until about, i think, 3-4 days ago. I run the launcher and absolutely nothing happens. Usually the Hawken emblem appears and eventually the game starts but now nothings happens at all. I can close down steam like i hadn't been running anything at all. So the severity of this situation would have to be a rank 1 showstopper as the game just doesn't do a thing and I've been told it's my system specs that is most likely the problem so here it is.

Not sure what's going on here, I just can't connect to any server.
I get 'connecting' when I try to for a while, then nothing the 'connecting' message dissappears. And after like 2 minutes of waiting, I get 'your connection to the host has been lost' message.

I have tried port opening, deleting clientregistry.blob in steam folder and some other minor stuff. Nothing helped.

Seriously, I was playing the game fine since last November. Nothing bad has happened until today. o.o I did what I'd always done playing Hawken and then suddenly, in the middle of a match Hawken crashes on me and it tells me I'm low on memory. What's going on? I have 5.72 gb of usable RAM, a 64bit OS, and an i5 core. My graphics card is an integrated intel card that has 1792 MB. The laptop I have is a Lenovo S510p Touch.

So I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but Hawken (and I think my whole computer) freeze at random points during play. For anywhere from 1-3 seconds at a time (I have encountered freezes up to 9 seconds in length). Sometimes they're isolated, but sometimes I get a chain of freezes.
The freezes are accompanied by nothing happening. No sound, my FPS meter doesn't waver. Nothing. When I get control back, my mech has typically moved a decent ways off from where it started.
So, help? I don't know a whole lot about computers, or at least not enough to diagnose this.

Additional Information:
Steam's web browser froze while I was playing Hawken, with it (Hawken) loading in the backdrop.
I am in the Arizona heat with no AC. My computer case is very warm to the touch as I write this.

Experienced BSOD in game and now unable to launch game

I have this game installed via Steam. I experienced a BSOD (root cause is a graphics issue) and after restarting, I am unable to launch the game. It appears to begin and then fails silently. I deleted the "local content" via Steam and then reinstalled (entailling a large download) but the game still does not launch. I "verified" the game cache (whatever that is) via Steam. Do I have any other options?

Edit: Windows 7, 64-bit.

Hello, for some time I can not connect with my friends or create squad in the game. The chat is disconnected all the time every 60 seconds. It is impossible to play with my friends so cooperativo.He uninstalled the game several times if that was because of this problem without results. Also I can not add more friends. My friends do not pass them this, they can create squad and no. All the time it says "click to reconnect" and connects a few seconds and off again. I would like to give me a solution to this problem. Hey Guys!
I played HAWKEN for about 2 days and everything worked. but now, when i launch the game with the desktop icon which is just called "HAWKEN", my Game opens, i hear the sound of this whole nvidea stuff but the hawken windos close and i can´t reopen it... ://
so i see a black screen, the windos close and when i click to reopen it, there is just this black screen which closes after 5 seconds and so on (

My system:
intel core i5 3570 (3,40ghz)
Nvidea gforce gtx 650ti (2gb)
8gb ddr3 ram
windows7 home premium 64bit
