Turn your AV off as well as any software firewalls.

I just deleted and redownloaded the game client. Worked for me, but I know that might be alot more difficult with some that have very poor download speeds. Unfortunately, if the file is corrupt, their isn't much you can do except redownload it. I don't think the devs could fix something like that. Especially if it's not an error affecting a majority of the playerbase.
