Crashing to desktop when joining games
Severity 5
When joining friends games while map loads the game crashed to desktop. It doesnt do this when i look for my own games. It leaves the launcher open i log in to try and join the same game again and it says im in a game. But the people in the game do not see my name. I have tried to reboot but to no avail.

I installed Hawken on both of my PCs.

This one is running fine:
Windows 8 64bits
Phenom-II 965 @ 3.4ghz
16GB DDR1600 Kingston Hyper-X
120GB SSD Kingston HyperX
Asus GTX650ti

But on this one ( see dxdiag file ) I keep crashing to desktop most of the times when I die. Seems to crash when the game tries to open the Mech selection window. If I play w/o dying, its ok. Also if I tab out, 99% chances of crashing with the ''out of memory'' message. I was running on a Asus 9800GT. Then I tried a GTX470...same thing.
I tried to lower the settings to the lowest, and also run the game in window mode. Same thing. Crash w/o reports.

Since my main PC is the one running W8 this is no big deal..but I wonder why it keeps crashing.

Which it shouldn't, considering the program is specifically the 32 bit version.

Wrong. The issue lies in memory management of a 32bit OS not the program itself.

really_ im running the 32 bit verson of the game on a 64bit windows 7 os. and it seemed to be dependent on which server i joined. on some servers i was able to run the game, but on others i was unable to run the game. the loading screen would come up, and then as soon as the game finished loading it would crash...

Well...I tried all possible tweak and still crashing w/o errors or reports. Simply closing itself ina split second 1min after each match starts ( TDM ).

I guess I'll have to install the OS on 64bits with the same key. Just a pain :P

Edit: Windowed borderless mode solved my problem ...for now. I can play 30 mins no problem. When I get out of game a ''ran out of memory'' message and reporter awaits me :P

I have taken virtual memory management away from the os and set it for 7500MB and still have same problem. will up it to a gig and see what happens...also,tonight,11/23 my client has crashed 8 times so far for no apparent reason, just locks up and closes. i can re-launch with no problem.

You mean 10,000MB_ Because that isn't a "gig". 1024MB is a gigabyte.
