Just posting my thoughts... (dunno if someone has already posted something like this)

One of the vids shows a ship moving through the air blasting away at the ground below.
I was thinking it'd be kewl, in a team game, if a ship was used to deploy mechs onto the battlefield.  Mechs would drop out of the bottom and use their thrusters to slow their descent to the ground below!

Another thought is to have small spawn factories.
Rather than the mech just respawning in a particular spot in open areas,  have spawn factories sitting inside the existing buildings around the map.
----
[from a 3rd person perspective behind the Mech]
The Mech spawns on a convayer belt.
A robotic assembly arm moves a pilot down from the ceiling into the cockpit.
The convayer belt kicks into action moving the mech forward.
A robotic assembly arm moves out from a wall and attaches the first Mech arm/weapon.
The convayer belt them moves forward again and the second arm/weapon gets attached.
The convayer belt them moves forward again and attaches any shoulder mounted weapon systems.
The convayer belt then moves the mech forward towards a dead end that opens up to reveal the battlefield with which the player then takes control.

Spawn factories can be hidden behind walls, signs, machinery or anything in the game to keep things interesting.

Dunno how the weapon loadouts work, but if players pick them before spawning then you'd get to see your weapons of choice be installed on the mech.
