Ok I gotta post about it now. Who else thinks the spammer that spams this forum is getting hilarious_ Last night there was one that said "If you walk around and ask 10 people what comes to their minds first when they hear someone say 2012, cheap louis vuitton bags..." (screenshot). Just a bit ago they posted some spam and then said sorry for spamming the forum. Like it's his job to spam and he can't do anything about it.

The other day I banned a spambot, and after I'd done so I noticed that the website listed on its forum profile was for gametrailers.com. I thought "Oh, snap! Did I just ban the wrong person!_" So I checked out the user's blog on Gametrailers and found the exact same advertisement page in the thread I deleted. With a sigh of relief, I reported that blog for spam and skipped merrily around the forest.

I think the obvious spambots should get deleted, half the members on the forums are prob spambots...

I defiantly know there are some advertising websites out there that hire people to send spam ads and what not into forums. ( -.-Trust me when I say I've try to make some quick cash with these programs, but its not worth the effort.)

My point being is that it could very well be this.

I'd post a link, but I'm not sure how safe the site is so if your really interested just google search online jobs and if you've got a non-7 year old head on your shoulders you'll be able to find it.

I don't think they were genuinely sorry though. It just seemed like a lame ploy to not get the posts deleted. Shows that there is someone actually behind the messages though (they referenced the board they were on), which makes me a bit sad...

Yeah it is sad, but I doubt these spammers are going to have any real effect on the forums.
Now if one of those spammers tried using some sort of trojan to get their ads across and
it crashed the site then I'd be royally pissed and worried.
Then again I am over thinking this, huh_

Nah they don't even seem to have the spamming automated, so an attack would be wayyyy out of their range. I don't feel sad for the forums, we can take this. I pointed this out cause the spam they do is so laughably obvious and bad. I feel sad that there are people out there who just sit there and spam though. Talk about wasting your time on something so pointless and nonconstructive.

Just want to make a quick comment: Whoever picked the color scheme for the forums is a genius. Green links on a black and white post make it so easy to spot spam (and report it ).

Okay so theres a german spammer now...
I count about 4 spammers in the last 2 days.... Isn't this a little bit unusual for a forum to have so many all at once_
