I went through the training a second time, and decided to dodge the rocket that the other pilot shoots at you right before teaching you how to heal, by hovering high in the air when I came up behind her.

I got stuck in slow motion, and was unable to resume normal speeds (damaging myself with a TOW didn't resolve it). I didn't stick around to see if killing myself would fix the issue.
