I'm going to keep my experience to the past five year, because frankly no one will remember some of the games I've beta tested.

Okay so that's all I can remember... God darned I do a lot of beta testing. Why aren't I paid to do this_ Why am I working at a subway again_ FML.

Wow, that's a long list, indeed!

Unfortunately, at my own case, I can't play this game given the nature of the NDAs I signed.

Most of the NDAs I signed says I can't discuss them during beta, but after I can mention that I participated. I just can't discuss what we tested, or what went on during testing. The Korean gunz one was  different though, they just said I can't play anymore XD

Because actual software testing on a game is terrible. And the pay sucks. If I was ever offered a game testing job I'd probably turn it down.

"Beta testing" != Real software testing

But for those games, I've spoken directly(through the interbutts, either in a chat or Mumble) to the devs. Back and forth feedback is best feedback.

Yep, and this is during the Open Beta right now.

Hawken will be my first beta game, right out the gate.

Man, this makes me seem like a geek that I have 30 other games I could list if I searched, easily over 100 if I wanted to... You don't want to know how many hard copy games I own... I think I have a problem.

@skatcat31: Iam sorry that I have to say it. But wtf is this thread about_ It is like, "phew hey, Iam so cool beta tester with some experiences, u have to pick me for testing hawken" or it is just "look how awesome Iam".
Frankly, who cares about your beta testing on/in internet discussion_ Anyone can say stuff like  that

Granado Espada(Kr, Ph and Na servers)
Zhu Xian(Ch and Ph Servers)
Aion(Kr, Ch and Na servers)
Ace Online
Tribes(closed beta, but I didn't played much)
BF3(closed beta and open beta)
Cabal Online (Eu, Br servers)
Mabinogi Heroes(Kr version of Vindictus)

And those are what I remember...there's a few more...
