Hi Guys,
it is quite disillusioning if you buy MeteorPoints for 10€ and click on paypal and it will charge 11,90€. I do not know any other f2p-title where it is handled that whay. I know that you have to pay taxes, but that is something you need to handle internaly and not charging the customer for!
It is a really serious issue because you look quite greedy when it comes to that, because your website says that I get x Meteorpoints for x money, but I don't. I have to pay extra to really get it. So remove the taxes and pay them your own instead of letting the customer pay.

I don't  think it looks greedy, but I do agree that the advertised prices should be tax included.

I didn't have to pay tax.
So I will stand here with my shoulders square and tall,                                     Oh god...
and when the whistle blows, I'll falter,                                                                Oh god!
but when the crash comes I will fall.                                                                   Here comes the arm.
With so much steam and steel behind it,
I won't slow it down at all.

at least this should be done. that is what i meant: maybe adjust the hawkenpoint-amount so that the taxes can be included, but do not charge extra on a purchase (when i go into a market all prices are tax-included)

and I think it looks a bit greedy, because it looks like they do it this way to get the whole 10€ or whatever from me.

They should break it up so that you get a sub total, tax amount, and a grand total.  It's not like you're purchasing gasoline where most of the time you don't actually see what you're paying in taxes (at least in the US..) ...

I'm also finding this tax thing weird, wanted to buy 30euros credit and it added almost 6euros on top.  I'm used to paying the 1euro = 1 dollar thing, Steam is the same: but tax on top_  Confused and frankly a little put off.

Again, I'm not a hater, I love this game so far.

I went ahead and bought some credits anyway (not as much as I planned to).  Not gonna get too upset about it, maybe it will change later.  I still find it odd, but whatever, used to paying more in Europe anyway.

I really don't see why they should eat the tax. It sounds more to me like you're the one being greedy.

did you bought some real-cash-money in other f2p-titles_ no one charges taxes extra and again: we already pay more in europe because the euro is quite stronger than the USD, so I do not see the point in charging ~20% extra for paying... I just ask to correct the advertised amount or the costs for the MP-steps so that no one is fooled how much it costs.

You're getting 10 Euros worth of Meteor Points. Tax is then added. You have an issue with them showing you that tax is added_

I disagree with you entirely. I'd rather see everything that goes on with my money rather than having fees tacked on behind the scenes.

I see the price on the steam store, I see something that costs 5 € or 10 €, I can see the words "tax included" = immediate purchase.

Here in the Hawken store I see 10€ plus tax 2,30€ = 12.30€ - mehh I dont buy this is too much.

Knowing that I pay more for a calculator 1$=1€ plus tax, several hundred more MC is not any motivator to purchase.

right that is my point, I don't fight that taxes are mentioned anywhere I wanna fight, that the taxes are ADDED to the charge I have to pay. No stores does it that way and no f2p-title except Hawken. It will scare people away from buying anything and it still looks greedy.

1€ is now 1,32USD so we pay about 32% more for the same amount of HP and then they add ~20%_ so we pay around 150% auf what amrecians pay_ I think this is an very serious issue for an f2p-title, because paypal can easily convert between both currencies. There is no need to charge extra. Even with taxes we should pay less then 1€ for 1$...

No, you don't. The amount of MP you get is adjusted for the currency conversion.

I don't know. Since there's about 12 dollars in my bank account right now I'm not making the purchase to prove a point. I also don't use paypal, because I trust individual sites more than a conglomerate like paypal.
