A Gladiator match mod:

What about a mode in a 12 man server where you have "got someone's number".

The name of the person you are hunting illuminates on your screen {no one elses}
You hunt him down, finish him and get his next victim {the one he was stalking}as he now becomes your next target {and that target is also his upon his respawn}.
The match would go on for 15 min. You only score on the mech you are assigned to kill.

Scoring would be based on how many "assignments" you collected in that match.

I think this would be a fresh type of match that all could enjoy. What do you think_

My friends and I recently came up with a variant of this match.

Hunt the leader.

Everyone hunt's the top 1,2 or 3 guys on the server while avoiding hitting each other.
The top players {1,2,3} can hit anyone they want.

You get to be quite nimble by the end of a match.

A variant is to hunt one guy per map. he is "it" for the entire match.
A new hunted player steps up on each map rotation.

How about configurable rules such as  "no radar, no items/internals, no repairing during the duel." oh ad what may solve your vulnerability of spectator spies have the match streamed/replicated to the spectators  on a delay.

The whole idea behind an arena fight is you can set the rules to what you want.
