wont let me launch the game

i have installed hawken and when i clicked "Launch" and an error pops up saying MSVCP100.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the programto fix this problem.

but does it mean i have to install all 1,800 GB of it_
and how do i reinstall hawken_

First off this area is for games, meaning games having to do with posting on the forum, not the game hawken.  You want the support section.

Also, searching is your friend.

But heres 2 things to try.

Go to the correct 2010 directX and update/install it.

try going to the hawken directory

ie
Z:Program Files (x86)MeteorEntertainmentHawkenInstalledHawkenFilesBinariesRedist

where Z is the drive you installed it on.

and installing the UE3Redist.exe


If that doesn't work, use the main web page and login and select support and open a ticket.

Hi mate,

As SS eluded, the problem is not with the game per se, but more-so with the game prerequisites. The DLL relates to Microsoft Visual C Plus plus 2010 (i.e. MSCVP100).

You can re-install the game and prerequisites from the file that SS mentioned, or you can download and install it from here. A Microsoft TechNet article has also been raised for this previously, here.
