Side Mouse button detected as Dhttp://content.hwigroup.net/images/products/xl/076830/logitech_g500_gaming_mouse.jpg

G500 mouse, when trying to change settings my middle side mouse button is detected as D, while those next to the middle button are normally detected as thumbmousebutton.

Image of mouse buttons is attached.

As you can see on the left side theres a front/middle/back button. the big middle button is detected as the key D for some reason..

**Title has link to image if you can't see it for some reason (Won't let me copy/paste into chat)

Uninstall Logitech drivers and the computer should use Windows drivers for it.  Then it will work.

Me Built PC | Win 8 Pro | AMD Phenom II X4 B60 | Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 (314.22) | 8GB DDR3
DESKTOP CLEAN Nvidia Driver Install | LAPTOP CLEAN Nvidia Driver Install | PhysX Helpful Info

Sorry for late responce, had exams. Ok so I uninstalled logitech drivers, which didn't help. Reinstalled latest logitech drivers, and still game detects it as D -_-"

Btw if you look at screenshot:

DP up/down isn't detected by hawken,
Forward-Back is detected as thumbmousebutton, thumbmousebutton2

For anyone else having programmable mouse found a solution.

Add a new profile if hawken isn't autodetected (wasn't for me (g500))
Link path to: C:Program Files (x86)MeteorEntertainmentHawkenInstalledHawkenFilesBinariesWin32HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe
Note that you should NOT link tot the launcher, that won't work. After that program the button to send a keyboard key (such as - or +), then you can use it. (if it detects the button).

So thats a "fix" you could use, however standard settings still detects it as D for some reason...

Btw you realy should allow cp/paste -_-"

*You could lock the thread as solved, but still I think its the game that detects it wrong, if otherwise feel free to pm me. (might not respond as fast bcs of exams ^^)

...Then set the button to be the F key (or something else) and then bind it in game _
I'm using it as activation for my Mech's special ability, works fine.

I need it for weapon utilization since middle mouse doesn't work that nicely when trying to both primary/secondary & zoom :)
Thats wy I just used a key that I don't use on my keyboard to bind it to :P

G500 user here and I don't have any issues using the middle thumb button.

1. reinstall logitech driver for g500 and open set point program
2. click on "buttons" in the menu on the left hand side
3. change #10 (middle mouse button) to an unused key (i have mine set to page up)
4. click apply and close set point program
5. go into game and change your bind

Thats what I did, explained this a few posts up, the problem was. If I kept the key to default, the game detects it as D, So I had to manually assign a key to the button in the logitech software, then in game change it to that keyboard key. Instead of beeing able to just use the middle button. Since it detects the forward/back button, but not the middle 1
