Just heard about this and created new account and installed 10 mins ago. Same issue:

"Syncing Account Failed The Meteor service is unreachable".

Must be a problem with the new accounts and not syncing properly. Hope you guys can work this out soon, lot of potential players might lose interest pretty soon.

I made an account during the beta days, but never got around to actually downloading the game :|  now I decided to finally give it a shot and I'm getting this message when I try to log in in-game :/

EDIT:  Magically started working after trying it again

there was a patch update a few days ago that broke ever thing. they are working on it try back in a few days and pray it works then.

When will this get fixed.  I tried installing this game 3 months ago.....DIDN"T WORK. tried everything.  Now i try again thinking OK they must have fixed it by now.  I log in then can't reach server...........(i sit there dissing hawken for about 4 hours wondering why they couldn't get something fixed yet as if they are sitting around eating donuts and playing tic tac to.)

Hey Hakra,

As SS396 recommended, go ahead and create a support ticket.  The issue you are seeing is essentially the result of a failure to authenticate.  This can be caused by a number of issues so it's best to contact Support.

A couple of preliminary checks are to:

1. Make sure HAWKEN is allowed to use ports in the range of 7777-7797.
2. If using a proxy, make sure you have disabled it.

REPORTING IN FROM SOUTH AFRICA

Not sure if this is of any use:
Every time i click the "Launch" button i get the message "Unable to establish network connection"
However, the game does launch fine

Also, for the last 2weeks, every time i try log in i get the exact message that everyone seems to be complaining about (Meteor service is unreachable) ; But I'm a persistent Fuzzy Bunny and just keep trying
Sometimes it takes 4-5 tries with the error-message popping up, but eventually it sync's my account
(though it gives me the same error trying to sync stats sometimes)

Although annoying, it can take several attempts (up to 10 tries sometimes)
But it hasnt stopped me reaching 1700 MMR a few hours ago
(as a South African with +-400ping average...that's an achievement )

My Recommendation:
Be more persistent and try a few consecutive logins

P.S. The slower I am between login attempts, the longer it takes
If i 'esc' the error message each time as quick as possible and retry fast, it seems to force a connection
