That would be called commentated streaming, which we do as well. As D said, check out the irc, play some of those matches, and see waht high level play is like first hand, and then realize it's probably not well suited for spectation/commentating at the current time.
Hawken Meta centers around TOWs, HEAT, and HF currently. Complaining that folks are using "no-skill" weapons in a game were hit boxes are humungous and nearly everything is hit-scan, is just nit-picking, and really only sounds like you have some kind of beef. Coordinated and skilled play is alot of positioning, hit and run, or flanking maneuvers. Do you want to watch videos where its 60% people standing/walking slowy around to position, then maybe 40% action_ Because when 2-3 (let alone 6 IRC caliber players) of these guys are together on a team you better believe that nothing lasts very long. That wouldn't be interesting to the masses that haven't played Hawken, and doesn't serve the purpose that this video serves.
Montages such as this are created to increase awareness/hype abut a game, giving the feel of frantic action and non stop killing. They have been making montages such as this since the technology to capture and edit gameplay was available (HALO:CE videos of Final Boss are probably the best known).
That being said, scoring multi kills, or absurdly long kill streaks is a great way to get people without ANY knowledge of Hawken to see some of the best parts, and maybe get them in the game. This community is small, and needs to puff itself up with stuff like this to get people to put Hawken on their radar.
Silk, wonderful job, the video is of quality, and the editing/music/tie ins are awesome. Maybe you guys can get me a new video card for next christmas and I'll be as good as those showcased in the montage and worthy of time in a future video.
Burns i coudn't of said it better. I might be upgrading next year on my video card, so ill sell you mine when the time comes. Deff want to see hawken succeed, and become a bigger community in the long run.
