This ignores the fact that camera angle and perspective is a fundamental part of game design.
Change the angle, and you alter the entire way the game is played.

You're ignoring that Hawken's population can not sustain split servers. It can't even sustain Pacific/Asian region servers and barely sustains EU region.
Split the servers, and even the NA region will face a catastrophic lack of players.

Except look at what happened to MWO.
They added TPV, and given the fallout, I'd say it's lifespan was significantly reduced, not extended.
Also, see above about the population.
If you start with a tiny population, and then you split it, you'll kill the game long before you can gather enough new players.
