I only saw the patch preview but everything i hear and see is "u r unlocking new mechs with level ups" But how does this work anyway_

Do i have to lvl one mech to lvl 25 until i get the next one_ How does it work_ Somebody got a clue_ :|

Cause im considering to get my third mech (bought the technician first and i need a more powerful one besides CRT)

When you get a mech to level 25 that has a progression then it unlocks the next mech for free. The mech will show up in your garage after you hit 25 in the mech.

Almost, but there will only be 5 mech levels in the new system, not 25.

I was typing a very detailed description of how the new system will work, but Komodo_Saurian explained it in a much easier way.

Also, you can still buy all mechs whenever you want, regardless of your pilot or mech level.

i don't know what to recomend to you so you pay the least amount of HC and XP for your mechs.

The new system will give the first 6 mechs for free( small exp cost).

Unlocking tier 2 mechs will require that you either

• level the t1 mech to rank 5, paying HC for every rank you level.( aprox 10K HC total +171547EXP )
  
  
• spend 6k HC to unlock it.

Unlocking tier 3 mechs will require that you either

• level the t2 mech to rank 5, paying HC for every rank you level.( aprox 10K HC total +171547EXP )
  
  
• spend 12k HC to unlock it.

Seeing these numbers one would thin that purchasing the mech before the migration takes place would be the best solution.

However in the migration faq it is stated that your mechs will be transfered however, they will keep an EXP relative to its current level. Which means that although you don;t have to pay for stuff like weapons and abilities in the current system you could potentially end up paying double if you unlock a mech now and don't level it up fully before the next patch. Since the new patch now has a price for weapons, abilities and ranks.

Well I meant the equivalent. I didn't want to confuse him or anyone else into thinking that lvl 5 in live = fully lvl'd in the next patch.

actually, mechs now only need 5 levels. the xp is about the same as a lvl 25 mech though

You can still buy any mech from the market, you don't have to unlock them by levelling up another mech or your player rank if you are willing to pay the HC.
