But of course it still has neighborhoods where you can see the destruction of WWII and the revolution of 1956, and it seems like it is constantly under constructions. The blogger American in Budapest called it Europe's magpie due to the diverse architecture and culture of the city.
It was unified from the hilly Buda, (capital in the medieval times) Óbuda and the flat Pest at the other side of the river Danube. I live in the center of Pest side and I like it here.

Interesting. You bumped up my interest to visit Budapest. As for me, I live in Kaunas.
