I use the Hologram(s) quite a lot with my infiltrator to confuse people; Since the predator mech release, I've wondered why when you lay down a holo and the pred is in thermal vision he doesn't see it as a thermal image trace_ I think it would be an interesting feature that could make the hologram a bit more useful.

For sure the holos don't generate any heat and so the pred cannot see them with it's thermal vision !

yeah I know logic calls strong in here, but I've always thought it would be an useful feature; so why not_ :)

Maybe it could be an "upgrade" feature instead of just being able to lay down more than 1 hologram.

I'm one of those who like to keep "realism" as much as possible.. good try though. :)

I kind of wish that the Holograms actually walk around or boost instead of just stand there, it'd certainly make some interesting results.

It would be really interesting but I prefer them as they are now. Because the holograms would be more powerful but the pred would be a little it useless

On the topic of Holograms, I believe there is one area that needs to be nerfed. On both MA and Siege, they can be used to trick the base defenses into shooting at them until the Hologram's user either dies or they time out. I have seen them used this way to make the base defenses completely useless and this allowed the entire enemy team to spawn kill us in our base.

I propose that the base defenses be given a type of "true" sight from a radar, that will prevent them from being "disabled" by using Holograms to trick them.

Thoughts on this change_

Excellent suggestion. That's almost exploiting.. base-fuzzy bunny in any form is very questionable.

i think the hologram should:
1) have a heat signature
2) pretend to repair (perhaps based on how healthy the mech was when deployed_)

with a Predator I can't resist a repairing mech. it'd be a fun way to draw a predator out, and any other mech would try to take out a repairing mech before an undamaged one.
