Hiyas ya'll,

I'm DeepPastry, well my handle here is. I have mainly played consoles for awhile now, trying to play more then just a MMORPG on my computer. Started on consoles with the Atari 5200 and the old TI 99/4A was the first computer we had, just to really date myself (though I was just a little kid then).

Trying to get back into playing real games on a comp, kinda difficult though, I use a Dvorak keyboard layout. The best I can hope is the ability to rebind keys, since I've yet to run across a game with a Dvorak layout option.

Hey there,

I'm trying to play computer games as well, but my problem is time, I do just fine with any cheap multimedia keyboard.

although I have played quiet a lot of games, and m a newbie game dev, I never got a chance to play the hell out of some cool consoles or Multiplayers online. Though in early age i played a lot with some cartridge console I don't remember :P

Although crunching on time, but The Hell, I'm playing Hawken since last few days and will continue to do so :D

Hope to encounter ye all in the battle ;)

Thank you for the welcome. I'm looking forward to being splatted in a mech.

@Vilyria - Best thing to look for are those Atari type controllers/joysticks that connect directly to your TV with the RCA cable connected to the controller. Have seen one with all the Atari 2600 games on it, over 300 games. Though that one's hard to find. Most other ones have a couple dozen games, hopefully the better games. Alternatively, you can get the Game Room app thing on XBox 360, packs 012 and 013 have some Atari games. And there are software collections for emulation on your PC.

Time is an issue with most of our hobbies, dang time, all ticking away... where's the pause button for that_ And I have a cheap QWERTY keyboard as a backup, but I like the bells and whistles of my logitech G510; which started out as QWERTY, but the buttons all fell out on their own... somehow. So I rearranged them to Dvorak. I only needed to operate on the J, F, U, and H keys, stupid connector is upside down on the two locator keys, J and F on the QWERTY. Still need to find something on the U and H key to make it easy-ish to blindly find the home row. (Asked Logitech if they had 4 replacement keys to convert the board to Dvorak, which somehow resulted in tumble weeds on a phone.)

Damn fuzzy bunny (German National Socialism - LOL fuzzy bunny, awesome) and Imperial Japanese governments, grrr. Well, at least the arms of my PC's typewriter will be less likely to get jamed up... thanks Sholes.
