Which may roughly even out the two weeks of non-stop smarmy spamming he did after the patch's release.  I'm all for turning a new leaf, but I'm (justifiably) skeptical about his motives.

I applaud the initiative but it's far too late now for anything substantial to come of it
the devs have floundered around for too long to take the risk of making yet another set of sweeping changes; the game is now what it will always be and if people are hanging on only in the hope of change they'd be better off jumping ship now and investing their hopes and time in another title

I agree, I just started playing when it was released for steam and it feels like a finished polished game waiting for new maps and mechs, but I still see the beta logo in the top left corner. I dont know what will change and I dont know how it will change, but what I personally think will change is the addition of some new game modes, maybe some sound and GFX changes and prehaps alittle bit of balancing but thats really it

I think Irish do a good thing. He spend many time and effort doing this against the notorious nay sayers here. Not to mention that many of them abandoned this game like Grasshoppers after destroying everything, and moving on to another victim. I hear this BS over a year and I am sick an tired of it. Many good ideas were destroyed. Let's say for example the class restriction or class exclusive weapons.
Can't forget how some Alpha Players present me a wall of BS to explain me against all Common sense that everything would break the game mechanics.
Today I watch der3z twitch and hear him and many high tier players talking about how class restrictions would make the game better in any way.

So let's see what happened next.

Class restrictions could only be put into place if they did not affect new players without full stables of mechs, or the test drive system included 3-6 mechs a week.  Folks that only own 1-3 mechs are at a disadvantage here, as well as not really having the familiarity with other mechs to be a effective member of a team.  I could see this working in 6v6 at level 30 but there are even folks at 30 that'd is not bother to outfit more than a couple mechs they like to play.

Class weapon restrictions are another idea I can't get behind because by the logic of the general supporter of this concept makes the case that all A classes should have weaker weapons, and we know with cases of the KE and regular sabots that balancing that design was not done well in the past.  Now that the slug has been renerfed most if not all of the cries about SS/reaper are gone as well.  

The other elephant being the OP's suspect motives based on past opinions and views, but I'll neither speculate or comment further on that point , folks can see that for themselves if they care to look.  The inclusion of folks that have given up on this game some time ago and still remain to "stir the pot" also give me pause to consider this as anything other than another circle jerk that will amount to jack and squat, but I am a cynic.

I have limited free time to devote to either play/domestic responsibilities/going outside an doing stuff like a regular person, so while the OP has invited, I will respectfully decline.  Good luck.

Its alright, the entire event will be happening on our TS server (At least on the EU side that is) which I have complete control of. So if any one causes any trouble they can either get booted off the server or sent to another room to continue the argument.

dont really see the point to fight bias or treat them seriously.
I have already apologized for my harsh attitude and made it clear that this event is intended for every hawken player our there who likes and cares about the game.

moreover, I would like to add that I am willing to come to TS and to speak in person with anyone who has some skepticism in order to clear out any sorts of misunderstanding.
everyone is welcomed to take part: as guest, volunteer or viewer.
