Well, i'll was a AMD user alot of years and the previous build of my PC was aging, considering than was an Athlon 64-X2 with 2GB RAM :D , well the previous build was able to do marvels with games of his time but, everything changes so was neccesary to do the update, Ill been considering getting an I5 second gen or getting a i3-third gen, the cpu than i bought is the latest of the second generation of the i3 and runs good combine with the Radeon than ill have.

Just matter of time to see and play Hawken. tic toc tic toc tic toc :)

Taerkasten: Wait until Spring 2013, when Intel's new Haswell microarchitecture comes out. You'll get more bang for your buck that way.

Assuming they have similar model numbers to the current lineup, your best bet would probably be an i5-4570K. Assuming it's similarly priced to its current Ivy Bridge counterpart, would run you about $230 but would be more than enough for games. (If you do lots of movie encoding and the like though, you may want the i7-4770K, but it will be $100 more.)

lTruelPsycho: Some people did report weirdness with Win8, but that should hopefully be fixed now. Guess you'll just have to try and see!

ive looked round but i couldnt find out if Hawken is SLI compatable..
