I would love it if there was some kind of display
indicating how much video memory would be required for the graphical setting i am trying to use.

Attempt to play with current layout  -

Turned it up high , Played the tutorial.

Crashed after joining a MP game.

Time out after trying to join a game, Crash again , get to see little error display
saying i ran out of video memory.

Turn down the graphics , Repeat , Get frustrated some more.

Dont want to just turn it right down . When i wake up tomorrow i'll see if someone has posted a suggestion

for 786 mb or ram , or go searching it

same problem here . ran out of video memory in all mp matches i tried. i'm running on a gigabyte GTX275 SOC 1792MB ... so i guess there should be enough video memory for high , not for ultra.

Getting the same exact thing on a 660Ti with 3GB memory. How much memory does this thing need to run on ultra, exactly_

Who know the game owners don't seem to care or they would have moved this to the support forum.

I believe this is a glitch.

Reason:  I experienced the same message about insufficient video memory while running a GTX570 with all game video settings on low.

However upon rebooting I could run the game with video set to higher values.
Occupation:  Old guy (do it long enough and you get really good at it)

Super cool jpg goes here>

It sounds like a memory leak, especially that I do not see any reason why the game would load additional textures after a given time in a match, since you probably need all of them in memory to start the level anyway.

I have the same issue with the windows warning saying out of memory though I run Windows 8.1 64 bit system. Sometimes the game also crashes (because of the memory problem I presume) / crashes the whole laptop making force shutdown the only option. Just had the game suddenly crash and flickering lights ensued on the screen. Lol.

6GB RAM, GeForce GTX 680m

EDIT (Problem source found for windows 8.1 users): For those running windows 8.1 and still getting the memory issue, it's a windows problem. It thinks memory is low when it is in fact not (as can bee seen from task manager). Apparently the problem lies somewhere with windows programming when playing games in full-screen. Hence one must wait for a windows update that solves the issue.
