pretty new player here...but I'm test driving the current test mechs equipped with move speed on kill/low hp, and while I notice a drastic increase in walk speed...I'm not noticing anything while boosting. am I just speedblind, or do they simply not work on boost/dodge_

Both walk speed and run speed.

Fun fact: hestoned has tested with me a combination of internals on scout that can (in some cases) give you a 50% walk and boost speed, how crazy is that

They use to long ago, then you got Hermes Scouts that could do 70 m/s and shoot from one side of Origin to the other in about 3 seconds.

You can't equip different tiers of the same item.  Having the regular prevents you from using the basic.

you can stack the power serge and the evasive device for a large increase if you kill with low health

that's actually the loadout of the test drive scout right now. felt really underwhelming though. it can walk almost as fast as it can boost...but it's scout. why would it ever walk instead of boost =/

If you are in a situation where you don't want the enemy to see you on radar, then you shouldn't boost.

oh wow, never knew not boosting hides you from radar o.O. always thought it was just by range. thanks for that

plus you cant shoot while boosting and there is that delay from when you stop boosting to when you can start shooting again

If you want to sneak and abush. No boosting and no firing. Nasty things can be done.

More like walk and run speed...
