I use the HE Charge Mk. II and the Repair Charge Mk. II, but neither is really crucial to my playstyle.  HE is powerful but kinda hard to hit with, and Repair Charge is situational.  The healing isn't instant, so it's better when I need to repair but don't want to shut down.

If you want to be a Professional Yolodriver just go with DETs and the rest EMPs.

I usually don't play Assault, but when I do, I pack EMP Mk. 3. and a wildcard item which can be anything, even item regenerator.

I use the R-turret mk II and the shield mk II, the turret can be useful if you want to ambush someone, and the shield is probably one of the most useful items in the entire game, imo. You can use the sheild to run away, wait for you weapons to cooldown, stop hellfires (they have been nerfed a bit so its possible to dodge them now), and also to play peek-a-boo with C's. The turret gives you a bit more DPS and can distract enemies.

Holograms and machine gun turrets all the way. Setup a hologram with a machine gun turret to fool enemies into thinking there's a badly piloted mech defending a position they can kill easily. In the meantime you've gone around behind the position and vulcan/TOW them in the ass.

It's a wonderful way to kite enemies away from the main group too :D

That sh_t only works on people who are bad pilots already.

MK2 Orb/EMP and MK2 Shields if you ask me.
