I wonder if they are going to link to the #hawkenscrim IRC channel. Seeing as several devs and players already hang out there, it would make sense for them to.

I think most people don't realize there has been any progress so they don't try it.

Voip has never worked for me and still doesn't. Just tried it out today. :c

Only if I bring my in-game mic volume down to 10%, otherwise it's monstrously loud to the point where I sound like a Japanese poltergeist speaking through a TV.

EDIT: To demonstrate a little, here's a test. I have a Blue Yeti microphone, and the gain switch is turned all the way down during this.



Also, kn-ob is filtered to fuzzy bunny_ I changed from that word to switch. I know that we have some EU players, but lol.

VOIP hasn't worked since ascension. I never hear anyone in game, lobby, party, in between matches and it sometimes works in the settings but even the test mode cuts out.

I have not been able to hear people or use push-to-talk since Ascension. I think I heard someone once at the tail end of a match, but that's it.
Yesterday I was playing with some friends over TS. I could hear someone else on our team talking through a friend's speakers that their mic was picking up but couldn't hear the guy through game VOIP. I play on West, Central, and East.
