Closed beta begins Oct 26-29.
Open beta begins 12/12/12.

Update 10/16/2012:  Follow these steps to be invited to Closed Beta:

1-Sign in to your account on PlayHawken.com.
2-Click on the Redeem Code link.
3-Enter the following code: NYCCPILOT
4-Your account has now been added to Closed Beta!

PLEASE NOTE: ​This code has a limited duration and number of uses. It will expire after Sunday, October 21.  This code will grant access to all Closed Beta events.

Accounts that redeemed an Alpha 2 code will be automatically invited to Closed Beta, meaning these players should NOT redeem this code.

The Close Beta is for the Beta testing that is very near... on about the 26th of October, if you redeem your "close beta" key now you will be able to download and play an early slightly buggy test version of the game then (but might not be allowed to talk about it). There's also a Far Beta with less bugs on the 12th of December, that anyone will be allowed to play, but that's still far away.

The Close Beta is also known as the Closed Beta, because it is closed to most people and only open for people who redeem a key now.

UPDATE: The NYCCPILOT code has been exhausted, but don't fret: IGN will be publishing a new multi-use code later this week. Keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest!
