I'm trying to download the client, but the installer doesn't work. I go through the steps and set up the install directory and hit 'next' to install. The progress bar gets to around 15% and then it stops and says that it's done, but it didn't install the files needed because when I started up the launcher I get this error: (http://puu.sh/1iuou). Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you play alpha test_ If so you must un instal alpha client first. GL

i get this message: C:\Windows\system32\d3dcompiler_43.dll isnt suitable for windows or it contains an error.
the message box reads: HawkenLauncher.exe - invalid installation copy.
i got my key from mmobomb and redeemed it here so i dont see how it is invalid.
also the error message is a bit freely translated since it is in dutch for me

@ Forthwright - you need to uninstall the Alpha 2 client before downloading the Beta client. If you need information on how to uninstall the Alpha check this forum posting:

@ Blade - that error message occured with some of the Alpha installs; have you uninstalled your Alpha 2 game client_

didnt have alpha but its working now. thanks anyway, that was amazingly fast.

I have the same problem as in the first post, never played alpha2 and can't seem to get it to work.
Any suggestions_

I don't have it installed on my computer anymore, but maybe it's somehow still in the registry or something.

I don't think that that is the issue here, i have never installed or played any alpha, the installer is just not unpacking fully.
