Will the final version of Hawken support DX11 and Windows 64-bit_

I have noticed when my client opens that it is 32-bit and DX9 by default.

Hi, I just install Hawken and I can't seem to make the game go full screen, and also cannot save any of the changes. It does not show any "ok" or save changes, apply changes" icons. Anyone have any clue_

With the exception of ONLY two games: Batman: Arkham City and BioShock Infinite, which I might add run in DX9.0c OR DX11, all other UE3 based games run in DX9.0c mode and/or add bits from the UE3 UDK a-la-carte system to plug in modules from the DX10 and DX11 updates to make their games look nicer.

I can tell you from my own testing, Hawken is a 32-bit game and is not written as a "native" DX11 title. Meaning, you currently cannot force the game to run in DX11 mode via your video card & game ini settings. The game simply continues to run in DX9.0c mode. That being said, the game does HAVE several DX10 and DX11 components in it, but it is still a native DX9.0c game and that is by design which I might add is NOT a bad thing... it allows more people to play and uses less resources at lower modes.

Hawken is a DX9 game, we'll never see DX11 in this game, besides it does not need it.


To the above poster Options (The Gear, upper right corner) Video Settings, find "Fullscreen" and click the little box top the right.

Hawken auto saves settings. If you game is not, find the ini files, then submit a bug report.

The "Apply" button is above the graphics options in this beta build, not below as is normal in most interface designs. It's also light text on a somewhat light background. This was actually discussed elsewhere in the beta forums: http://community.pla...on-in-settings/
