Same problem here.

Using Google's public DNS servers and switching off the firewall doesn't help.

Stop telling people this is a fix when it doesn't work because most of them had this issue before they were able to fully download the client. Thus, the "fix" you are suggesting doesn't even apply to them because those files don't exist for them
