Hey everyone. I haven't found a mech game I was truly impressed with since MW3 and this one blew my mind when I was introduced to it. I have actually been so impressed that i was inspired to build a controller for it and hopefully i can begin giving updates in another area soon(if anyone can point me to the little creators room that'd be nice) and even more fun, I have had no experience with building game controllers much less programming them and receiving data from a game to interact with so we'll see how it goes and what i learn!
Glad to be a part of this community now and from what I have seen so far, ya'll are a helpful bunch with alot of sarcasm in so I'm sure we'll get along just fine

Have you tried Mechwarrior Online_ That'll feel way more simulatorish, but this game is also really fun when you get consistently stomped in MWO. Hawken is 100% more balanced in my opinion, though MWO's balance has been in worse shape.

Yea i've checked out MWO but the interactions between the mechs and the ground just seemed off.... like they would appear to be float walking in places and other wierd happenings... Could be the physics engine they decided to use.... and besides, when i played MW3 i used a puma with no armour, highest level motor, and a coupl short and long range lasers cause noone expected you to be hitting them at long distance one minute and then be circling them within a couple meters the next lmao

Lol it was just one of those things where you go "wait a minute..."
But IMO Taylor Davis has a superiour skill WITH the violin while Lindsey Stirling has superiour skill at playing the violin WHILE sticking her butt out and doing standing splits haha
Both are still cute though.
(As an addendum though... Link was a guy Lindsey!! Taylor got the costuming correct lmao)

Might want to recheck it out though a bit off topic. Could be lag/FPS issues from what it sounds, since that's not what's happening from what I see. But anyway, this game doesn't have that either.

Lol I was trying to say this game was perfect for me seeing that my favorite setup in MW3 was a screaming fast puma that was never expected cause everyone obsessed over the gauss rifle and tons of armour.  Funny thing is that it was MW3 that i was (half)given my callsign by a veteran in an Atlas when i had beat him with it.

But yeah, enjoy Hawken if you like it. In my opinion, closest mech to something like that would be Reaper/Sharpshooter, as Gauss is extreme sniping mostly (unless you brawl hard with it). If you brawl with it then probably Raider actually, even though it's a shotgun and feels more LBX style, since there aren't components (can't specifically target parts of a mech or I'd like to leg that annoying Scout and leave him limping until someone wants to goomba stomp him ) so all the shotgun shells would effect the entire mech getting shot.
