Now that the game is asking me to log in while the client has been launched I can't actualy type in my email adress, on a uk keyboard layout the '/@ button opens up console meaning I can't put the "@" in my email address.

There is probably a better way to solve this, but I just changed the regional keyboard settings on my comp to USA. The @ symbol is swapped with ".

Yeah I know, thats okay on a temporary basis but i would like to be able to use my own keyboard layout in the long run

Is this a joke_ It's ridiculous they'd make this kind of mistake.

There is a known issue with the @ symbol and British/UK keyboards. We are working on compatibility testing.

I had this problem too. Luckly solved simply.
Just open your web browser, login in Hawken site with your account, than open Hawken. It should sync your site account to your game account, skipping the login. Hope this can help!
