Technically I'm not a new player, but I am new to the forum since I started to get more involved in Hawken.
But yes I am Lioot and I've been playing Hawken since CBT when it was released. Although I stopped for a good 2 years (twelvie phase made me rage quit, but no more) I came back to it seeing how it has progressed in terms of balancing, pew pew action, etc.
My mmr from what I last remember is floating around 2118 which is apparently good but I don't know. Many of the players I play with are also around that range, if not, a little less.

I'm glad you decided to come back. If you've been gone for 2 years well Hawken should look totally different. Your post made me remember the old look and feel of Hawken. Boy, those were the days. The graphics are a lot better now and the game is definitely more polished with new mechs, maps and internals etc.
What server do you play on and how is population_ Hopefully I will see you around on US East.

Yeah, Hawken is entirely different since back then. Especially with all these internals, I believe there used to be a skill tree kind of thing based on level.
But yeah, I frequent the OCE servers and usually never stray to other regions because of ping (I dislike having to aim 2 seconds ahead of time) and I usually play in bot TDM when the player base is low, which is most of the time. Quite disappointing because I loved it when there was a massive influx of players, so many new people that added variety to the game. Now days, its just versing the same people many of which are high mmr players(not as high as the US servers, its speculated highest mmr Aussie player is around 2.3k). But then again, some of the older players are beginning to quit due to lack of variety and/or challenge
