Which is more comfortable for you_ Playing with the room lights ON of OFF_

So, I wonder what is better for you_ Playing with the room lights on or off_ Both for your eyes and for the feel of being in a mech.
Myself, I think with the lights off, the total focus is on the screen, which makes me feel like I'm in the mech a lot more. Though we can't deny that it could be pretty bad for one's eye

Most high-end hdtv/monitors have ambient light level sensing, and adjust the output Brightness relative to it.
So, it may cause headaches, eyestrain, etc, but likely nothing permanent, however you'll feel better even if it's a low-output colored light.
The USNavy shipboard CIC scope-dopes work in the near-dark, but do have low-wattage red lights (or they used to. it's been decades since).
