• Bug: Launcher does nothing. just shows a white box

• Reproduction: when trying to launch the game.

OS: Windows 7 x64
memory: 8GB ram
videocard: ATI 5700 series
router: Neatgear WNR2000
modem: motorolla cable modem


even tried the following:
windows firewall: off
anti-virus: off
router: DMZ to this PC.
static ip address.
direct connection from modem to PC.

yes, all traces of alpha is removed. didnt even work during alpha stage. same problem then, same problem now.

If possible please run your launcher from a commandline and add the argument /debug to it.
It should look something like this if you installed in the default location

c:\Program Files (x86)\MeteorEntertainment\Hawken\InstalledHawkenFiles>HawkenLauncher.exe /window

this will start th launcher with a debug window that should help us determine what is going wrong. You can also try /debug. If the launcher gets far enough in startup it will write out some log files that will be of use.

fixed it by doing the following:

control panel -> internet options -> connections tab -> LAN settings
turn off "automatically detect settings"
