all i get is a black screen after i press (launch) and that's it
i think its because the different resolution the game runs at
but i cant change that

i have
windows 7 64 bit
dx 11
GTX 560Ti
intell i5 650

Please follow the below instructions, and report back here with your findings:

1. Uninstall Hawken via Control Panel
2. Go to playhawken.com and re-download the Hawken installer
3. Right click the installer file and select 'Run as Administrator'
4. Install the game.
5. Navigate to the Hawken launcher, right click it, and select 'Run as Administrator'
6. Issue solved_ Report back here. Still not working_ Continue to step 7
7. Close Hawken and the launcher
8. Visit http://www.geforce.com/drivers and fill out the form titled 'Manual Driver Search', then press search
9. Download the driver, right click the install file, and click 'Run as Administrator'
10. After the install, re-launch Hawken and see how it goes. Report back!

When the game launches hit alt+enter and it will go into windowed mode.

Sounds like a video card issue. Perhaps you could try turning down some of the graphics settings or atleast make sure they are within acceptable range for your 560 GPU. Work your way up in quality instead of just turning everything up to Ultra from the get-go. Also try turning off some of the "bells and whistles" like depth of field, motion blur, physx particles, post-process MLAA... all options that can be found in the Advanced tab of the video settings menu.

If it is a resolution issue, try changing the resolution. If your picking a resolution your monitor can't run natively, then you will have issues of black screens and not being able to see anything.
