The sound being used to indicate a selection in the menu screens seems dissonant and forceful. It can be quite distracting when spending some time in the menus.
I know that some low end (bass) is being used to give the sound some weight but its simply being utilized too intensely. My suggestion would be to cut off a bunch of the low end below 80-100hz, The majority of players may not even notice the subtle change.
Feeling subsonic frequencies or "oomph" in menus is nice for arcade games or something (where you spend very little time browsing around the screen). In the case of Hawken even though it may feel like an smashingly good arcade game, significant time is being spent in the menus.
