Hi all,
You are unable to download the manifest because the game client and servers are not yet available. Servers will be up around 12:00noon pst.

See you on the battlefield!

Whatever ppl say, allowing installing and patching the game should have nothing to do with servers uptime ...
The patch process should be available a few hours to a few days BEFORE the event start.
Just as some kind of feedback, because we are in beta, and this is imho a needed feedback :)

**not a whine post, meant more as an observation **

Whilst i totally understand the servers are offline until CB2 start, i am surprised (but NOT upset) that client patches etc are not available before hand. I can imagine a huge spike in bandwidth usage when everyone connects in at the same time to pickup the manifest and start downloading. This in itself will, i assume, result in some form of throttling and reduce download speed (i am on sub 1meg speed usually) or heavens forbid a server overload and result in more downtime ____
This also makes me hope the patches are not on the same servers as the games are hosted...

Pre CB1 of course we could download the client 24 hours before which i was lucky enough to do on my works 8meg link and then copy the 2 files to my pc at home and run the installer.

EDIT :
Of course im incorrect above - the download speed appears fine although its going to take me 4.5 hours according to the launcher - puts me past midnight so wont be on until tomorrow 1900 eu time then :(

I'm still having this problem despite the event having launched. I'm pretty sure I'm typing in the correct account and password...

now it says "unable to determine version"

Edit: I think a re-install might fix it. *cross fingers*
