I noticed, that the FPS rate is much lower than in Beta1 or Alpha2, I get 40-65fps but the GPU stays at 70-80% activity. V sync is OFF and smooth frame rate is OFF. Before was activity 100% and fps was around 80 all the time. Other settings are ultra (maxxed out), Physx is OFF, res. 1920x1080
  • Summary: lower fps in beta, can get 100% activity of my GPU
  • Steps to Reproduce: from first moment of playing beta2, tryied to turn on/ff vsync and smooth frame rate.
  • Frequency: all the time
  • Severity: 3
  • Additional Notes:Maybe it´s just about in-game settings, but I don´t know whitch
  • System Specs: Win7 64bit Pro, CPU AMD Phenom II 965BE @ 4.0GHz, 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, GPU AMD Radeon HD6970 Asus DCII 2GB, ADSL Vigor modem/router.

Duplicate of this thread, effectively, but good on you for being thorough with the details. :D

Thanks for noticing me. As I can see, I´m not alone :) However, it was posted only in support forum, so now it´s a BUG too :)

Yep I have exactly the same problem, and it's quite annoying. I've even turned down all the graphics to almost low, and still no change. :\

Only map I seem to get drops on is Titan, but considering I have a GTX 690, that's a bit puzzling.

I have also serious drop in frames compared to Beta1. It's a long shot, but I'll boot and see if that helps. Haven't booted after patching

Edit: No didn't work. Also dropped textures to low etc no better

I have also experienced lower fps in the game...   Beta 1 ran much smoother on my comp.

System: Macbook Pro Retina 2,3Ghz Quadcore, 16Gb ram, Nvidia GT650 1Gb ram with latest drivers, 256Gb SSD, running windows 7

Actually I found out the problem. I have maxed all my graph settings from Nvidia control panel. I thought that some setting might double or cause some glitch. Found out it was Anisotrophic, dunno what that is on Ati cards.

So I dropped Anisotrophic to x1 in game settings and vóila I'm back in killing business. ;)

I don't know if it's relevant or not, but I've recorded improved framerates running in windowed mode over full screen.

I posted in another thread, but this one seems to be getting more attention.

I noticed a massive drop in FPS from CBE 1 to CBE 2, and my rig hasn't changed since then.  I was running things on max settings in Alpha 2 and Beta 1, with a constant 40-50 frames, and now on Andromeda, on lowest possible settings, I get 20-ish FPS.

Including a DxDiag file if that helps.

Yeah, Anisotropic Filtering isn't very intensive on modern videocards - but it makes a heck of a difference visually.

I would bet the likely culprits are either lack of optimization (we are in beta, remember - they're more focused on stability over speed right now) or things like PhysX. I've also heard that if you got a multi-GPU setup, disabling one of your two GPUs will give a boost. (I've yet to test that; will later tonight.)

Can't say I've noticed much difference; CB1 was rough and CB2 is rough, both clocking 20 fps avg.  It's a minor miracle I can hit anything actually.  :)

(I'm one of the poor souls with AMD CPU & ATi GPU.)

im on max settings without vsync and phsyx off. my specs are i5 2500k 4.3ghz 8gb gskills ripjaws 1600, 7950 flashed to 7970. im not experiencing any FPS drops since the start of beta 2. it seems weird the most of the people experiencing this are nvidia users, as of the OP, have you tried updating your drivers_

Main Rig : i5 2500k 4.0 @ 1.248 | Water 2.0 Performer | 7950 3gb flashed | G.Skill Ripjaws 4x2 1600 | Coolermaster GX650w Bronze | asus p8z68-M PRO | NZXT Source 210
