I feel the assualt mech walk speed is slower in Beta 2. Were the mech speeds changed_ The assualt feels like a snail now. Please allow faster moving mechs. I'm using the same spec I had in beta 1 with movement skills maximized.

Excellent work on the ingame chat though. The game seems to be running much smoother(frame rate and connectivity). Connecting to match making games seems to be quick and I haven't gotten the fail to join option so far.

People tended to complain about Assaults being strong, so it's conceivable they did that to test how tweaking maneuverability would work.

It's also possible that you are just imagining it.

It certainly could be just my imagination. Right now the game is to slow for my tastes. I'm still about 4k points away from a light mech so I might just pass on the beta 2 and wait for beta 3.

Give one of the light mechs a try, those things basically fly!  It's awesome.

Yeah, I'm not seeing any speed changes. I think you're just imagining it.

So many threads about changes to mechs or pace....there were none. Read patch notes. <_<

Fun fact: The Hawken INI files contain all the settings for the mechs. Editing them does not override what the server says your mech is capable of.

I think I found the culprit to why I think the mech(using assualt) feels sluggish. The movement acceleration is to slow and you can't strafe(try pushing left and right somewhat quickly). So when thrusters are depleted you can't switch directions effectively. When thrusters are up you can evade vertically and horizontally quite nicely. Good luck getting out of the cross hairs without thrusters.

I would like to see a the acceleration sped up or removed.

Oddly enough I'm actually playing better in beta 2 compared to beta 1, but I would like to still see a faster pace. I'm 3k from a light mech now.
