Just because someone doesn't want to spend 40+ minutes in a match, doesn't mean they should have to give up on a objective based game mode.
I really would like it if Siege was shorter.

I rather like how siege matches average 30 minutes though. What's wrong with Missile Assault for short objective based games_

capture the flag
attack and defend type objective
VIP where you gotta protect a certain person on your team while killing someone on there team could be round based (first team to kill the opposing VIP gets a point) or point based (get a point everytime you kill there VIP then the VIP switches to another player on there team)

Then again, though, maybe I'm just used to longer matches from my UT or Section 8 days.
A coagulated, gloomy thinking in the intelligence, as my major ego.
An antinomian theorem of behaviorism, in all of my thinkings.
It's what we call "The Inversion Impulse."

and as mentioned before, siege mode requires heavy team coordination to be successful. Work with your team and you'll no doubt have shorter matches. I think the longer matches are just a result of people not really knowing what the most efficient use of their time is in a match like this. Often times you'll see 3 players trickle charging off of an exhausted node; they don't realize that one player can gather the exact same amount of energy in the same amount of time. the others need to break off and defend, or assault the enemy's node, or prepare to defend/assault the AA.
