I've pondered this for a month or so.

While a Rocketeer or Brawler is repairing and their strut arms are down behind them. Do they take reduced damage from behind_

In my honest opinion the barricades should reduce incoming damage even when not deployed. But only for the shots that hit them

You would see a phenomenal amount of kiting by skilled C class players. Think about it, you'd fire off a salvo and put yourself on all your cooldowns - then Shift+S to turn around and kite for a bit - then Shift-S again to present yourself for another salvo.

Actually, now that I talked it through, it would seem that could introduce some finesse to the C class play. So, effectively speaking, C classes take x% reduced damage from their rear quarter_

When walking a C class' strut arms are above them. Perhaps when walking they take reduced damage from above.

It's not a huge improvement, but the C mechs could use a bit of extra help, and it would be realistic.

This is just how i imagine the turret form, one being able to deflect projectiles and reduce damage from explosions, the other allowing to dash while changed.
