lag spikes

i have got a new pc and it is high quality but there needs to be some more display / graphic options to either boost or decrease the graphics

I'm guessing by "Lag" you're reffering to reduced FPS and not Network Latency.
Try playing in a window.

I've actually found that playing in windowed mode makes it worse in some cases.
