Suggested extra features

What about a jumpjets poweroff state as well_. In order to balance the equation, a couple of features could be added.. as for example a moderate "speed run" as well as a moderate "super jump".
Can you see it_.

Is there some kind of logical explanation for this_
All I know is that I have a fan under my laptop to remove the excess heat. Maybe increasing speed increases the airflow over heated components, hence cooling them.

Sorry, the idea of a 2 ton Mech running away with a 3 inch blade in its fist made me giggle.

In cases like that.. a run speed as well as a moderate jump feature might fit pretty well into the tactics scheme; and without to get redundant features per se.
Once more that was just an idea. =)

Imagine being able to select from different movement abilities in-game and then using them to surprise your opponent. Like first you dash behind a set of buildings, then change your dash to a high jump, and then jump over the buildings to surprise your enemy with an aerial attack.
Or something like that anyways.

That would be OP unless there was some sort of universal cooldown :/

Mech Mechanic posed a better solution I think. He said something like having sliding, forward boost and multi-directional boost as being different movement options.

but if there would be such a super boost option it should have limits....
if you use super boost - you go damn fast for example 20 metres - and then you can't move for 1.5 sec and you have your boost indicator = zero (coz super boost would cause overheat and it uses all power )
but it could be use for avoiding heat seekers or some wide range weapons.
Don't know how to put limits for it if you try to go up in the sky with turbo boost...Maybe mech flies in a random direction...like if it was a catapult.
