These maps and the server are no where near capable of handling this many players...it ends up being a giant ball of everyone stuck together trying to move while lagging like crazy.

It would be a good idea with more space and a more capable server. Just my thoughts.

Edit:
Also it's stealing traffic from the regular server so you can't play a good game of team deathmatch now

I agree, the lag is atrocious! Not to mention the sound bugs in that server.

If they intend to really have 16v16 servers the maps need to be at LEAST tripled in size, with more passage routes.

There is definitely a mobility issue here. Would like to see some experimentation on alleviating this.

Yeah every 32 person match I have been in has basically turned into a cluster-fuzzy bunny where you are just trying to get a shot off on anything that is red.  Way to much going on.

The servers have absolutely terrible lag, yes, but I absolutely love the insanity matches in concept.. And occasionally while playing when the lag is semi-doable.  It becomes one giant mech battle. Worth keeping around, but tweaking probably, imo. o.o

I think 32 Player Missile is awesome!

However the lag problem doesn't seem that noticable for me. Maybe it's because I'm in Australia and so all my games are played on a bad ping. Someone was saying the servers aren't optimised for 32 players yet - I say someone setting up a server said "I wonder what would happen if I changed this number here... "  :P

One reason that I find 32 player works well is that the teams are more able to swarm. This seemed to let me survive more when in a low level bot, and when the enemy has some hard hitting lvl 20's. Another is that it gives a more sustained flow of soldiers to overcome blockades. I notice this works better on sahara than titan, I think due to the size and shape of the map. Titan does end up being a cluster of fuzzy bunnies.

tl;dr
I think adding more players seemed to lower the difference caused by XP, balances the mech variety, and increase the likelyhood of a comeback. 32 Player Missile ROCKS!

i think its cool that they tried it out but i dont think the format fits this game. ~16-20 man servers i think are the sweet spot for public games. 16 mechs all in a hallway is bad news

Siege insanity.

Awesome fun. Takes WAAAAAY to long to finish a game.

Even when a team didn't control the AA gun and the enemy had a battleship launched, it would just be shot out of the air by the mechs themselves.

Pretty chaotic for these size maps. Not against these numbers though for bigger maps.
