I got he HAWKEN is LIVE email and still got this error message when I want to sign in to the launcher.

You have to deinstall Hawken and download new client http://www.playhawken.com/beta.

The CBE2 client worked just fine without uninstall so it surprised me (the message is a bit misleading). I uninstalled it and downloading the new client right now.

Update: The launcher patched today before the start of the event (I even saw servers but could not join them). Now it seems the new client is downloading and this solved the problem.

Same issue unauthorized to access game version I had already uninstalled /re-installed client still same error.

Uninstall the previous client and download the new. Now it works for me.

Ran the original launcher in Admin mode, downloaded a 1.7gb patch. Game works fine...
try running in Admin mode and see what happens.

it doesnt do fuzzy bunny i'm having the same problem reinstalled new launcher 12 times it doesnt work, neither does admin mode

Problem still persist after numerous clean installs,
I don't know if this will help diagnose the issue but i do notice that during installation only 676kb of data seem to copy during  install even tho total file size required is about 5gb,  not sure if maybe the installer is not functioning properly

game client updating now after idk 15-18 clean installs didn't do anything different just kept at it

As I suspected, nothing worked, like I was saying yesterday, before the launching time. I was told to wait till 12PM, but I knew it was an issue other than just a "-servers are down, wait, you moron" type. Now, after trying to fresh install 3 times, I quit. No big deal, because another great game went up yesterday, but I wanted at least to check if they've done the most important job: optimization.
Hope I can play once in a while when OB comes up.

Log in and redownload the game here: http://www.playhawken.com/beta/

Uninstall, delete the Hawken folder into My Documents. Reinstall the game and it should work fine.

Try this and tell me if it works or not.

When "Uninstalling" make sure you do it the PROPER way.

Go to control panels and go to programs and uninstall it that way.

do NOT just delete the folder and re-install. This does not delete everything you need deleted

I will repeat this.. do NOT just delete the folder. Use the built in programs from your OS to delete the program so it is a fresh/clean delete.

If you are having problems still you may want to restart your pc after you delete it, download the latest video drivers and install , restart and then download the client again.

Also remember some users may still need to have to make sure PhysX is turned off. This is an issue for mostly ATI users I believe. Unless they fixed this yet.
