As for everyone else, we can't reach the server for Meteor Credits. But since I tried to buy a couple of items without sucess just to test, I lost all the credits without gaining anything. :-(

Same thing happend to me.
I was trying to purchase a Sharpshooter mech, but it didn't work so I tried to make a different purchase (in which I wasn't interested) and the second purchase worked

I have also had the same issue it seems, I tried purchasing the Sharpshooter Mech as my first Purchase and it kept saying that I couldn't connect to the server for Meteor Credits though without realising that it was eating up my credits anyway to which I tried restarting the Game to find I'd only 680 Meteor credits left from the amount that you start with.

Same problem over here, also tried buying the sharpshooter. I even clicked the buy button a few times because it just gave me an error message. Oh well, there go all my credits

I just simply lost my meteor credits, and i have no idea why.
