I upgraded from my gtx280 (the 460 benches the same as a 280) to a gtx480. Big fps jump. I run at 1680x1050 with everything on ultra, physx on, aa 2x. Great fps. Sometimes I dip to the mid 30's on rare occasion. But for the most part it stays to the 50's. if I turn off physx and a few other non essentials I'm sure I can get even moar
You can. PhysX especially is murderous for some reason. I'll drop down to 18 FPS on Andromeda if there's heavy fighting, and I'm on a GTX 690... which is two 680s on a single card.

Nedless to say, I should never, ever drop that low.

its obviously a glitch , i think they call these things memory leaks , non the less just turn it off for now till it gets fixed , it could be nvidia drivers error too , but if many people mention they got similar problem with physx or with the 690 using physix then it needs to be addressed with a closer look by the developers or by nvidia

Well, the issue on mine was definitely keeping all particles the entire game. (the floor was only particles at one point near the AA. You literally could not see anything but particles) But, as said, I was tweaking a lot of things in the ini files. I also had PhysX turned off, so it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

All that said, an uninstall, deleting ini files and restarting worked fine on fixing it.

I know one of the devs was testing on a 690 for Surround.
Reason as my minor ego, and opposite my desire to be a murderer.
A coagulated, gloomy thinking in the intelligence, as my major ego.

Yeah, I'll probably just do a straight-up INI wipe before my next play session, and then try it again.

I feel like upgrading your rig for one F2P game is a waste of money.

Ive been following Hawken for well over a year. I knew that on or around the time it launches I was going to fully upgrade my computer. and so I did.

I played Closed beta 1 and Closed beta 2 on an  i5 2400 cpu (stock air cooler), GTX 280, 4 gigs of ram, and a 22in 1680 x 1050 monitor

As of a few days ago I upgraded to an i7 2700k (cooled by Corsair H40 watercooling system), GTX 670, 8 gigs of ram, and a 27" 1920x1080 LED monitor.

ALL of this just for hawken.

I effing love this game.
