I'll agree that the matches need to START balanced, and that new players coming in need to be placed on teams using a matchmaking/balancing/magical pixie dust system instead of just alternating as they do now, but mid-match autobalance is just a fuzzy bunny. Surrender votes let people end the game and let the teams get balanced/scrambled and don't swap people over to a losing side in ANY instance (and let's face it, the very nature of the game modes makes it such that any automated system will misread a match at least some of the time. User-driven systems are needed to combat this, even if some people are idiots. In general, we can assume that if the majority of a team chooses to pass a surrender vote, it's because they would have lost anyway)
