Overall, indifferent on killcams. It'd be kind of neat to see how you were done in, and the arguments of "It reveals people" are kind of moot when everything's huge frickin' mechs anyway.

At the same time, I don't feel that it's necessary.

Therefore, either make it a player-selectable option (with the server able to enforce it being enabled or not), but make it always available for any recorded match demos.

I always liked the idea of killcams, means when I'm having a bad run at least I get to see some kind of kills happening on my screen. They're also great learning tools for seeing what different weapons can do, which counts double in a game where you don't have free access to weapons. I can definitely understand how killcams can unbalance a tactical situation, but Hawken is definitely not a game where hiding benefits you. Everyone shows up on radar, the maps are small, and mechs move fast.

I would say that it's just not possible to camp in this game, the maps are so small there's no chance to hide for long, besides when you appear on the map people swarm from every direction to bring you down.

How about we get detailed kill information before we get a kill-cam.
That and replays.

Considering that the game already tells you the player that killed you, what weapon they used, what mech they're in and what level that mech is, what other information do you need_
