First of all ... NICE LOOKING GAME! You guys have done an amazing job so far and to top it all you have done it with a very small team of devs.

I saw the design goals videos last night (). Very impressive videos. Love the idea of having to hide/power-down to regen.

A question that I haven't seen answered (maybe I missed it_) is ... what's the max amount of players supported (per map/server)_

Can't wait to play this!

IIRC, the devs mentioned 8vs8. I may be wrong though.

this is obiusly a big thing on any game, i think 12 to 8 will work just fine, 16 players games tend to be very heavy on the lagg.

I say the more the merrier, vote 32 players and up ! (it is obvious that there should be option to set up a server for less players than that) anyway there is already topic about all that; viewtopic.php_f=3&t=30

I'm assuming the maps will be a bit small for 64 players, but at least on pc 32 is a pretty standard cap. Consoles tend to only be able to handle 16 or 10.

As said the more the merrier as long as lag doesn't become an issue, the closer to a real battle the better IMO.

8 vs 8 is ok.

a 16 vs 16 would be great, but don't know if it's too much for console.

maybe something between that two proposition (12 vs 12 etc...)

Depend of the map size of course.

6 a side is always good.
Be good or be good at it, otherwise you'll be pushing a pram.

Based on what I can tell from the map sizes, I think 8vs8 is about right, but I believe an option should be included to allow higher player counts especially if there ever comes a time where bigger maps are released.

To summarize:

Default: 8vs8
Max: 16vs16

-Edit-
This is based on the PC, I'm not sure what player count the console would take.

From what ive seen of this game 8v8 sounds about right, for my part i dont believe more players is always the way to go, for some games it isnt suitable and just turns the whole thing into a giant clusterfu**, but thats just my "2 cents"

Surely this is a no brainer ....... it certainly should not be capped at some arbitrary level just to suit one particular platform.
Obviously max players should be an open figure so that individuals running servers can set it as high as they wish based on the kit and connection they are using.
The only limit should be whatever max number the devs believe would be a packed house.
Lets not fall into 'why would anyone ever want more than 256k Ram' mentality of shortsightedness. Average connection speeds are rising constantly, what looks like it would choke any reasonable private connection
could be very common in a couple of years ....... if you want a game to grow and remain relevant don't limit it by shackling it with present tech levels.
