Walking speed = TOO SLOW by default--to the point of being nearly useless.  I know this can be upgraded as we gain points, but it gives the game a terrible feel to newcomers.  If you want to encourage newcomers to give Hawken a try, you have make the game feel better to control by default--instead of making the game feel broken.

Stop spamming post. Just because you don't know how to move doesn't mean the game is broke. Just because you can't dash in midair the game isn't broken and Hawken doesn't need 5 more threads about it. Use the search bar. The topics have already been discussed if you would just take what is less time to make a post to see if there already is one.

Try out different A class mechs like the Scout. It is fast as a Road Runner. And you can always use boost when you are in a hurry. Also use dash to take cover or to confuse recruits. ;-]

It was faster in CB1/CB2; they slowed it down a bit for CB3 but only for B-Class and C-Class I think. (However, in exchange, they get much more use out of their boosters.)

It's hardly game-breakingly bad though.

I find it makes a huge difference to the feel of an A-class mech.
